Musical Background:
I grew up with my father’s blues records filling the living room and it gave me a small push in the right direction. As I got older I started listening to different types of music. My taste of music just kept on expanding. When I was 15, I started playing guitar. I remember the first song I learned to play on guitar, Master of Puppets by Metallica.

I soon discovered the amazing fusion between folk music and metal. Bands like Ensiferum, Windir and Lumsk really amazed me. Not long after I got a fierce taste for black metal and more brutal types of music. At the age of 17, I joined a local black/folk metal band called Sectum and at the same time I started fiddling with an old bass guitar I had lying around. After my departure with Sectum a year later I bought myself a nice little drum kit and taught myself a few decent grooves.

As I started drumming, I started a band of my own named Aasamot. I continued playing bass as well as playing drums, but left the guitar in its stand for longer and longer periods of time, but some guitar skills still remains and is used for composing riffs. I have developed a deep love for progressive music, a lot of variations and odd-time signatures. Fall 2009 I joined my close friend and former band colleague, Joakim, in his band Adyta.
